McFarlane...At Your Service

Requests Make Me Happy Dance
Suggestions for posts are always welcome, and as Danania can attest after suggesting the post on Thorin and Company, I really REALLY enjoy getting them.  I have received a few since starting this blog, and always appreciate more.

I always have a list of topics that I've either started or have been kicking around in my brain but cringe at the amount of research that will be required (although those are always the most fulfilling to write).  But this post serves no purpose other than letting you readers know that you are always welcome to send me ideas or things you have always wondered about.  If there's the slightest chance I can make a lore-related post about it, I'll accept your challenge.

You are welcome to send an email to l.ward.mcfarlane@gmail.com or can also post questions/topics in Comments.

Thank you as always for following and sending me your comments!

  1. I'd love to see a post about the rings. Who made them? Why were they made? What did the rings do (what power did they have)? Where'd they all go? At the time of LotRO, is there just the "one ring" left?

    1. So sorry I did not see this earlier Jay! My email was not forwarding through for some reason. This is an interesting suggestion. I did do a bit in a prior post on the Ring Lore of Eregion at http://lotrolorenuggets.blogspot.com/2012/03/eregion-part-ii-ring-lore-of-eregion.html, but if I can think of additional info I will definitely keep this in mind.

  2. And sorry for no recent posts, I have not been in the game much lately. I have not left it, but I have to admit, I'm a bit burned out and bored with it. I really, really miss the Moria days when we still had radiance gear (yes, call me crazy), and had to play the 6-man instances for one armour token each run. Somehow that just made for great experiences with kin. I'm looking forward to update 11, I hear there will be new Epic and other content, so I'll be back in soon and hope to find more lore to write about!
